WEST PALM BEACH, Fla. — Holden Amory hopes the public will help track down whoever is responsible for nearly killing him — but might not know it.

On Monday, at the office of his attorney, Jack Scarola, reporters saw the “before”: a video of Amory singing and playing guitar and singing Maroon 5’s “Sunday Morning.” They then saw the “after,” as Amory entered, a fedora covering his shoulder-length hair and a giant maroon and black gash running from just to the left of his crumpled nose all the way across his swollen face to his right ear.
“My name’s Holden,” he began. “I got hit in the face with a piece of metal.”
